What To Drink During Your Staycation or Team Suspension

So you got upset at the throwback jerseys from 1976 and decided it was up to you to take action and destroy all of these horribly designed shirts before the game.   You grabbed something to cut them with and cut them all you did.  This action now finds you on a beautiful Staycation (team suspension) for 5 days.  What can you do with this newfound time?  You can get up early, hit the gym and take the family to some museums, or the zoo or something, OR, you can rise honorably and make yourself a pitcher (no pun intended) and start drinking.  Here at Duel we recommend the latter.

We reached out to our great friend Joey Alaimo to give us an idea of what would make the perfect “drink” for a staycation.  His results are two tasty recipes using Kraken Rum, “because it’s delicious and the bottle is very cool”.

Below are Joey’s recommendation drinks for your next staycation or team suspension.

KRAKEN PUNCH

1 part Kraken Rum
2 part Jarrito – Mango / Pineapple
1/2 part Ginger ale (really a splash)
Lemon wedge

In a pitcher, pour in your liquid and let sit in the fridge/freezer for a a bit until cold.  Take out your punch and stir in ice and lemon. Pour a glass and garnish with a lemon wedge.

KRAKEN KREME

1 part Kraken Rum
2 part RumChata
1/2 part creme
Pineapple wedge

In a pitcher, pour in your liquid and let sit in the fridge/freezer for a a bit until cold.  Take out your kreme and stir in ice. Pour a glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge.
