Gin & It – Your Dueling Weapon For The Weekend 4-8-16
Back in the 1940’s, you ordered a Gin & It, “It” being named after the Italian (Sweet) Vermouth used to make this drink. Sometimes referred to as Gin & Cin, named after Cinzano Aperitif (produced by Campari), a popular Italian vermouth.
This drink is classic. Not meant to be served over ice, but instead chilled and served in a coupe glass. The sweet vermouth with the Gin carries this drink and it will carry you throughout the night.
Ingredients
- 50ml/2fl oz gin (Letherbee Gin)
- 25ml/1fl oz sweet vermouth (Cinzano Ross)
- dash bitters
To serve
- orange slice, twisted
Method

Place all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice and stir.

Strain the cocktail into a coupe glass and garnish with the orange.
